Finding a FOSS (Free Open Source Software) layout tool has been a bit frustrating, as well as fruitless.  If any of you know of a legally free comic layout tool, please leave a comment.  It’ll get the print version in your hands faster… because I’ll have it done faster.

Also, it’s pretty surreal to be listening to Another Bad Creation while updating the comic.  A reference to 1991 being new just about made me choke on my coffee.  Ahh, the rewards of plumbing one’s music collection.

There was a bit of an error with the end of Chapter 0, and the beginning of Chapter 1.  That’s been corrected now, and the titles of the comics reflect the correct chapter.  In other words, I realized that the last page of Chapter 0 was actually the first page of Chapter 1.

I was definitely having an attack of stupid that day.  All is fixed now.  Enjoy today’s sketch!  When we were playing around with different titles of the comic, one of my less-awesome ones was “Silicon Hearts.”  This was our esteemed Artist’s response to my idea.

Welcome to Chapter 1!  I’m hoping to introduce a new character or two by the end of this arc, and to let you in on more of what’s going on with the AI and First’s surroundings.  I’m hoping to open up the world, and by revealing a small amount of what’s going on, give an understanding of the vast and daunting nature of their situation.

We need two things that are likely going to cost us some money.  First, a logo.  Second, a site redesign.  Neither of us has either the time, skill, or both for these things, so we will end up farming them out.  Luckily, I know some good people in those departments.  However, as mentioned before, those will require some funds.
